Eyþór Ingi Gunnlaugsson - ‘Ég á líf’ (Iceland - Eurovision 2013)

Eyþór Ingi Gunnlaugsson will be representing Iceland this year with the ballad ‘Ég á líf’ after winning the Iceland national selection. ’Ég á líf’ is a grower, with a bit of a Celtic sound to it. It’s nice, calming and sounds great in Icelandic, however, it may be a bit too slow and ‘boring’ for some. You can either appreciate the song, or you think that it is bland and wrong for Eurovision. Gunnlaugsson’s voice suits the song well and, if you can get past his hair, you’ll be able to appreciate the emotion and meaning in the song. The song isn’t expected to progress to the finals, but we’ll see how it does on the night.
